Sport plays an important part in the life of St.Garvan's NS, and has done so for many years. We aim to provide pupils with the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports and to develop links with various sporting organisations in the parish.
We would hope that children will continue their interest in sports that they develop in their time in Caroreigh and that this will help maintain them a healthy lifestyle as they continue on their journey into adulthood.

Rounders has long been a popular sport here in St. Garvan’s N.S. Every year, 6th class are given first opportunity to play on the school teams. Many pupils, who do not play other team sports, play rounders and enjoy this experience greatly.
The boys reached the county final in 2017 and the girls were finalists in 2018. |
We participate in the Co. Wexford School Athletics every year and we have always had a large number of entrants and usually are quite successful at the competition.
RugbyCoaches from New Ross Rugby club have visited the school and have introduced rugby to our pupils.
